This summer I took a trip to New York, and whilst I was there I kept a daily drawing diary of the things I experienced. I've gradually started to re-visit these entires and add a splash of colour to them. Most of the images you'll see have been taken from my original sketches, along with the captions I wrote at the time. Above is my first entry - with more to come soon. Hope you enjoy reading about my (not so adventurous) adventures!

MUNGO

A recent illustration of the character Mungo, who lived on a beach off the Kent coast after his boat was shipwrecked. Mungo lived an almost entirely self-sufficient life, building his own house from scratch and sourcing his food, water and electricity. Sadly he died last year, just as I became aware of his story. I eventually plan to create a complete narrative about Mungo's unusual but extraordinary life, and the local legend he grew to be.
