At the end of last year I was delighted to be asked to contribute to a new exhibition at Seven Stories: The National Centre for Children's Books in Newcastle. The exhibition is called 'Bears!', and showcases all different sorts of bears that have featured in children's literature over the years.

It was an honour to have some of my work from 'Atlas of Animal Adventures' included in the section of the show all about real bears. Two prints from the book are displayed (Black Bears & Polar Bears), alongside some of my original drawings and sketches.

A couple of weekends ago I headed up north for the exhibition's launch party on 17th Feb. It was so great to be able to see all the work on display, and also get to have a look around the brilliant Seven Stories. Well worth a visit if you're in the Newcastle area!

'Bears!' is now open and runs for a year at Seven Stories, then will tour around the rest of the UK. More information about the show can be found here, plus some photos from the launch can be seen below:

It was a great surprise and honour to have won, and a really nice way to kick start the year. Big thanks again to Stanfords and National Book Tokens for a great evening, and for all their support of the book. The awards were announced at a gala dinner on 2nd February, and each winner was presented with a personalised antique globe trophy.

HELLO 2017

Happy New Year one and all! Hope you had a good'un.

I'm starting 2017 in my new art studio, and drawing lots of dinosaurs for an exciting book project due later this year. I'll be posting more snippets of my work over the coming months, so keep watching this space for news, updates, and strange prehistoric creatures!

Introducing the latest book in the 'Atlas' series:
Atlas of Miniature Adventures!

This book takes a look at some of the smallest adventures from around the world - including the miniature Dutch town Madurodam, the world's smallest post office, and Cuba's tiny bee hummingbird. There are also continent and world maps full of many more small facts to explore! As always, this was a really fun little book to work on with the Wide Eyed Editions team. I especially love seeing my work shrunk down to such a small scale! Some photos of the inside can be seen below…

'Atlas of Miniature Adeventures' is out now in UK bookshops, and available to buy online here.

Celebrating the launch of my new book 'Atlas of Animal Adventures'...

To celebrate the launch of my new book 'Atlas of Animal Adventures', I'll be doing a book signing & children's drawing event at Queens Park Books next Sunday 11th September. Would be great to see you there if you can make it!
