'BEARS!' AT SEVEN STORIES

At the end of last year I was delighted to be asked to contribute to a new exhibition at Seven Stories: The National Centre for Children's Books in Newcastle. The exhibition is called 'Bears!', and showcases all different sorts of bears that have featured in children's literature over the years.  

It was an honour to have some of my work from 'Atlas of Animal Adventures' included in the section of the show all about real bears. Two prints from the book are displayed (Black Bears & Polar Bears), alongside some of my original drawings and sketches.

A couple of weekends ago I headed up north for the exhibition's launch party on 17th Feb. It was so great to be able to see all the work on display, and also get to have a look around the brilliant Seven Stories. Well worth a visit if you're in the Newcastle area!

'Bears!' is now open and runs for a year at Seven Stories, then will tour around the rest of the UK. More information about the show can be found here, plus some photos from the launch can be seen below:
