MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas one and all! Hope you have a good'un!
I'm not holding out much hope for snow this year, so this little gif will have to do...

Thanks to everyone for reading these past few months, I'll be back again in the new year. See you soon! xx

FARRELLS CHRISTMAS CARD

Back in November I was asked by the architects Terry Farrell & Partners to design their annual Christmas card. I ended up drawing a raucous Christmas party taking place in their offices at the old Spitfire Works on Hatton Street. (If you look carefully you can see Santa stealing one of the spitfires that are fixed on the roof!) Below this is my initial drawing of Hatton Street, along with a couple of other buildings by Farrells which didn't make the final cut. A tricky but interesting exercise in trying to capture post-modern architecture!

N.Y. DIARY

This summer I took a trip to New York, and whilst I was there I kept a daily drawing diary of the things I experienced. I've gradually started to re-visit these entires and add a splash of colour to them. Most of the images you'll see have been taken from my original sketches, along with the captions I wrote at the time. Above is my first entry - with more to come soon. Hope you enjoy reading about my (not so adventurous) adventures!

MUNGO

A recent illustration of the character Mungo, who lived on a beach off the Kent coast after his boat was shipwrecked. Mungo lived an almost entirely self-sufficient life, building his own house from scratch and sourcing his food, water and electricity. Sadly he died last year, just as I became aware of his story. I eventually plan to create a complete narrative about Mungo's unusual but extraordinary life, and the local legend he grew to be.
